Grand Tournament 04

On May 2004, the 8./9. we attended in Nottingham again the biggest Bloodbowl Event on the world:

The XLIII Bloodbowl Grand Tournament

Frank’s United Pharabones were quite successful:
4 Wins and 2 Draws!
But with “only” 22 Casualties the Khemri Team didn’t get the most CAS award.

The tactic was clear:
Hit them, smash them and beat them up!
Unnecessery to mention, that the only try to make an Hand-Over failed. Only agility highlight was one interception against skaven.

Baerbel’s Lizards won 2, draw 2 and lost 2 games. Not that bad, especially since the worst defeat was against last years winner.

Together with 9 other coaches she won a Resurrection Gutter Runner at the Saturday night quiz in the Bugman’s Bar.

My lucky dices blew Dan’s Norse from the field.

“Whoever picks that damn ball up, gets the game under the belt ... Pouring rains in the Desert!!”
Not an easy match against “TIMuN’s” Chaos Dwarfs, but praising NAFtut my Thrower managed to pick up the ball.

Again a hard game. Dave’s Norse teached me that Frenzy players and a Minotaur can be really inconvenient.

Craig used the Starplayer “Count Luthor” for his undead team - I was really happy with the draw.

Shane was my unluckiest opponent. I only had to wait for a unsuccessful dodge of his skinks.

Ryan’s Skaven had to see that Skeletons can make an interception. Filling the dugout with his skaven I was able to make 3 Touchdowns.

Round 6

First game and the one with most TDs - 3:3 draw aginst Colins Woodelves.

My Lizards even improved against Bens Norse-Team - 2:1 win

Woody (aka “Deathwing”), the NAF tournament organizer in UK caused the first defeat - 1:2 and 3 CAS against

Marcos, the winner of last year, recruited a lot of Lizards for his Undead team - 0:3 loss and 7 CAS against

Gareth´ Dwarves also hurt 3 of my precious Lizards, but a 2:2 draw comforted me from the former suffering.

Alex first roll: Riot. Baerbel won and injured 6 players! The basis for the 3:1 win. But Alex kept his spirits up and took it in good humour.
